LARIA Annual Conference 2014: Call for speakers and papers – How we make a difference.
The next LARIA Annual Conference will be held 13-14th May 2014 at the University of Warwick. Please save the date now. Bookings will be open in early 2014.
We would like to invite you to speak at the conference. We are looking for keynote speakers, workshops and posters. This will be LARIA’s 40th anniversary and we are looking for the 2014 conference to be our biggest and most successful yet. We know that the public sector continues to face a challenging financial climate at the same time as a rising demand for services. This conference will be about how local research makes a difference. This follows the challenge set at our 2013 Conference by Martin Reeves, our honorary president. We want speakers who can meet this challenge by showing research that is:
Fit for purpose
Rapid and robust
Include communities and others
Able to have impact on local services and communities
You could discuss a project you have worked on, how you are working with partners, the value your organisation has placed on research or anything else you think might be of interest to LARIA members. We are open to any ideas.
To submit ideas to present then please complete the LARIACallforpapers2014 and return to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than Monday 18th November 2013.
If you have queries you can contact Nicola by email email@example.com or by phone on 0845 676 9598.
We look forward to hearing from you.
