Our aims
We aim to represent all users of health and health services statistics, and believe that one of the strengths of the Group is that it provides a regular forum where all users can meet and exchange ideas, across disciplinary or organisational boundaries
Our activities are aimed at:
- maintaining and improving data quality
- data access, and
- use of health and health services statistics.

The LARIA Conference 2013 will see the launch of a new award focusing on the best use of health research. This award is being run as a collaboration between LARIA and the HSUG. 

More details on how to enter and the criteria will be published soon. The key criteria for us is that award winners will show us technical excellence in research and have made a real difference to the people we serve. We strongly support the awards showcasing how local researchers help organisations make evidence based decisions, and in particular we are looking for evidence of how this helps improve the lives of the general public.
