"Shifting ground: Exploring public attitudes towards immigration” - joint meeting of the RSS/MSUF

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Tea/Coffee from 5pm, followed by Wine Reception at 7pm

Chair: Sarah Cutler, Programme Director at Migration Exchange, Global Dialogue

Speakers: Bobby Duffy, Managing Director at Ipsos MORI Social Research Institute and Jill Rutter, Director of Strategy at British Future.

Join us for the launch of Shifting Ground, Ipsos MORI’s unique longitudinal study exploring how people’s attitudes towards immigration have changed. The session will draw together all seven waves of the study, which follows public opinion before and after key political events – from the 2015 General Election to the EU referendum in 2016 as well as looking at other data on public opinion on immigration.

Bobby Duffy will present the findings of the report, as well as Ipsos MORI’s Perils of Perception study that looks at public misperceptions towards immigration. The panel will debate the implications of the study and close with a Q&A with the audience.
