- Understand some of the underpinning statistics and control limits behind the National Summary Hospital-Level Mortality Indicator (SHMI)
- Develop processes for reviewing preventable mortality
- Review a Care Quality Commission mortality outlier alert and respond appropriately
- Learn the principles of quality improvement methodology for mortality reduction
- Assemble benchmarked mortality data from a range of sources to produce meaningful Board assurance
- Build valuable relationships and network with your fellow colleagues
