Michael Baxter's Example of Sensitivity of Elementary Aggregate Formulas to Outliers

03-05-2017 13:21

This worksheet shows the sensitivity of Carli, Jevons, Coggeshall and CWSD formulas to outliers, where there are five items taking the value one and an item that can take various extreme values, both low and high. The Carli formula is generally more robust in the presence of outliers than the Jevons formula or the CWSD formula, but not the Coggeshall formula.
